Quercetin is a plant flavonoid found in foods such as onions, capers, and apples. It has been studied by itself and in several distinct formulations, but those forms are not interchangeable. The best-known senolytic-oriented human study cited here tested quercetin together with dasatinib, a prescription drug, in a small selected patient group. That is combination research, not evidence that quercetin alone is a senolytic or extends human lifespan. Standalone quercetin trials have also been reviewed for blood-pressure outcomes, but their effect was modest and its clinical importance is uncertain.
